The building concept ‘Aviator Haus’ is based on engineering ideas from early timber aircraft. Designer and craftsman Garvan de Bruir interprets the ‘light yet strong’ aircraft construction principles into building design. The ‘monocoque’ or single curving shell construction is a highly efficient approach to creating a structure in timber.
We have created three core designs, ranging from a small pod to a family home that all feature our dynamic curving roof. As they are modular structures, you can select the model you like and then customise the length to suit your needs.
